Why I Believe the January 1997 Playboy Cover is Necessary

As a woman and a feminist, the idea of Playboy may seem contradictory to my beliefs. However, I strongly believe that the January 1997 Playboy cover was necessary for several reasons.

Firstly, the cover featured supermodel Cindy Crawford, who was at the peak of her career at the time. This choice of a well-respected and successful model challenged the stereotype that Playboy only objectifies women who are desperate for attention and fame.
